SXSW 2025

Investigating psychedelics and regenerative futures; and talking how narrative shape perception

Dennis Walker, Carly Dutch-Greene, Cesar Marin and Alexandra Plesner

Austin's SXSW has grown from humble beginnings in 1987 to become a global phenomenon. Back in the day, the inaugural event, which focused on music, drew an unexpected 700 registrants on its first day, far exceeding the organizers' expectations of 150 attendees. Today, SXSW has evolved into a multifaceted event encompassing music, film, talks, showcases, exhibitions, and more, attracting over 300,000 people annually!

The first dedicated psychedelics track appeared in 2023, reflecting the growing mainstream interest in this field and by this year covered a fast potpourri of topics from women's health to creative problem-solving.

Founder Alexandra Plesner was honoured to speak but twice at this year’s SXSW!
