In this talk opening keynote Dr Bruce Damer and Matt Gillespie explore how psychedelics and altered states can enhance creativity, design thinking, and problem-solving in times of global challenge. Drawing from history—Huxley, Osmond, Harmon, and early LSD creativity studies—to today’s research, the speakers unpack how psychedelics foster insight, empathy, cognitive flexibility, and embodied imagination.
